First of all, nice to meet you. I’m Nienke (neen-kuh – but don’t worry if you still can’t pronounce it). I live in Amsterdam and have been interested in all things space ever since I was a little kid. I was never good in any of the STEM subjects, but when I was invited to take part in an astronaut training course in Iceland in 2018, I learned that anyone can start living the #SpaceLifestyle right now.
Since then, I’ve set myself the goal to complete the world’s top 100 space experiences, ranging from visiting amazing observatories to visiting the best archaeo-astronomical and stargazing sites and events of the world. I’m also training my own “Astronaut Skills” by taking steps towards leading a healthier, more curious life, and taking care of the people and world around me.
If you start looking, you will find that there is a LOT of space on earth waiting to be discovered. And it can be enjoyed by everyone. It just takes a bit of curiousity and a love of learning. Do you want to join me on this adventure?
